Lost In Translation
Translation, in essence, is the action taken to enhance communication and understanding so that the message being portrayed is interpreted as coherently as possible.
With this publication, I wanted to focus and bring light to the action that is being taken while translating and portraying the different steps that one could go through. Wanting to concentrate on my mother tongue, Korean (한글), positions will be held to best convey the meaning the words hold while giving room for interpertation.

The project was intended to serve as an interactive space giving the audience a chance to explore the means of translation while immersing themselves in the Korean language.
It is not intended only for those who speak Korean, English, or both. The hope for the platform is to provide an open space for people with various cultural backgrounds to still venture through the project without the need to fully understand the language itself. Through the modes of a website and digital media, the duality of translation and the process is portrayed and embodied.
