Carrier Bag
Uncertainty trickles through your life all the time. As it comes and goes, it could bring you down, trouble you, or make you doubt your choices. However, there is a beauty to this uncertainty, as it makes life exciting and unpredictable. There is a drive that pushes you to try to create certainty. I wanted to express this interpretation through this carrier bag that promotes movement. Using rice as a representative medium for uncertainty, the fluidity that the rice and bag create together was the focal point of my expression. To delve deeper into my specific operation of knotting, I wanted to play with the fact that a knot does not necessarily have to be tight. While it could function to secure something, a loose knot is easy to unravel and creates new moments of space.
